What is Corrosion Resistant Marking?

This method of marking is used primarily for implantable and reusable medical device parts which, in the United States, must bear a UDI code. This dark mark is produced on a stainless steel part and is required to survive the passivation process and repeated autoclaves used for sterilization purposes. Picosecond IR lasers are ideal for this application.
