Ball Tacking

Ball tacking is generally defined as “a process used to set workpieces without custom fixturing.” It works by placing short tack welds all around a workpiece to hold the edges together.

It also refers to the precise placement of stainless steel, Inconel, and other metal balls on a workpiece, as desired.
